Party Boat Fishing West coast partyboat fishing is some of the best fishing around. Below are the links for the local partyboats and the long range boats. In Southern California, local party boats go for Albacore, Barracuda, Bonito, Calico Bass, Sand Bass, Halibut, Rockfish, Sculpin, White Sea Bass and Yellowtail. Multi-day trips out of San Diego are currently getting 100 pound to 200 pound plus Yellowfin Tuna. Giant Squid are holding on the Nine Mile Bank and San Diego local boats are hitting the squid with half-day & three-quarter-day boats. Off Long Beach, anglers in the Pot O' Gold Halibut Derby caught many 16 pound Halibuts. Calico bass have been great for Catalina Island & local kelp beds with 6 pounders being caught every day. Giant Squid are out at San Clemete Island. As are the Yellow Tail.
